About this Event

Pathways to transformation

You are invited to join me on the celtic festival of Samhain, 31st October and and 1st November 2025, a time of reflection as we move into the darkness of the winter months, a time for change.

Stress, distress and trauma can result in significant disconnection, both from others, and from ourselves. This workshop recognises our own needs for others when working with complexity, offering a place of restoration and development.

In this in person, 2 day, experiential workshop on the outskirts of Edinburgh (see location for further details) we will explore how we can work and move through complex emotions and states using active imagination and creative approaches, including narrative therapy, embodied practice, and clay to support transformation and healing.

This workshop brings the old and new together, blending Jungian (working at depth) and Reichian (body orientated) concepts with somatic trauma therapy, through the medium of creative methods. No prior knowledge of these ways of thinking is needed and I hope to be able to offer you new ways of thinking about, and working with, trauma and dissociation.

You are welcome to come as you are, investing in your own personal development. You are also invited to come with clients in mind, on a journey through ways of creating new opportunities for change.

This workshop is for both new and established counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and similar.

Please email me [email protected]

or visit

for more information.

Lunch : I will provide light refreshments and you are welcome to bring a small dish of something to share.

On the evening of 31st October we could think about having dinner as a group. We can talk about this more when we come together.

Please bring warm clothes, yoga mat/cushion and blankets, or similar, for comfort on the floor. Chairs are provided.

CPD certificates will be emailed after the event.

The advertised cost is for both days. I aim to make my training as accessible as possible. Please be in touch if you would like to attend but will struggle to pay these rates.

**This training is focused on working with complexity and trauma, and is offered within a trauma informed way of working which understands and works carefully with individual experiences, in a confidential and respectful space.

Agenda

πŸ•‘: 10:00 AM - 04:30 PM
Pathways to Transformation Day1

Info: Working with trauma and complexity using Active Imagination, Embodied practice and Narrative Approaches. Active imagination is a method of accessing unconscious thoughts and feelings, creating space for these to come to the surface, facilitating deeper inner understanding, and freeing up pathways to healing and creative expression. Working with unconscious process allows us to come out of our usual thinking patterns that can keep us stuck in unhelpful places, and when combined with other approaches can offer ways of re thinking and re-scripting the stories we have been told about us, either by others, or by ourselves.

πŸ•‘: 10:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Pathways to Transformation Day 2

Info: Moving through complex states, deepening practice as we build on day 1 and bring in additional creative methods. Clay is an inherently calming, grounding material offering endless possibilities for the imagination. Together we will explore working with clay using an adaptation of Interpersonal Process Recall as a way of using storytelling and clay to open avenues to connection and communication.
