We know the recent severe weather has been a challenging and uncertain time for many in our community. These Pathways to Recovery events are about connection, clarity, and support — helping people understand what happens next and where to turn for help.
Each event brings together key agencies involved in the response and recovery, giving residents the opportunity to hear the latest updates and speak directly with the people best placed to help. This includes Council recovery leads, welfare and psychosocial support services, Bay of Plenty Regional Council, roading and infrastructure teams, NZ Police, and other partner agencies.
The evening will begin with a short presentation, followed by breakout areas where you can kōrero one-on-one with agency representatives, ask questions, and get guidance relevant to your situation.
These events are part of our transition from response into recovery — acknowledging what people have been through and making sure no one is left navigating the next steps alone.
For further information and access to key resources, including the Mayoral Relief Fund, visit the Weather Event Information Hub on Council’s website.
Everyone is welcome.
