Pathways to Perinatal Peace is 4-week virtual perinatal therapy group for pregnant or postpartum (up to one year) CA residents (no spouses). It is designed to offer a space where expectant and postpartum parents can share their experiences, concerns, and joys with others who are going through similar journeys. Based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies and led by a Cedars-Sinai Reproductive Psychology Program therapist experienced in perinatal mental health, this groups aims to promote mental wellness, strengthen coping strategies for stress, depression and anxiety, and foster a sense of community among participants as they transition into parenthood. Share your stories, triumphs, and setbacks in a warm and supportive environment. Learn valuable information about perinatal mental health and practice new ways to cope with challenges that may include postpartum depression and anxiety, adjustment difficulties and relationship changes. Sessions include practical techniques and coping skills tailored to the perinatal journey such mindfulness exercises, stress reduction techniques, communication strategies for couples, and methods to enhance bonding with the baby.
Participants commit to all 4 weekly sessions at time of registration and a minimum of 3 registrants is required for the group to be facilitated. The registration fee of $160 covers all 4 sessions. You will receive an email you after you register to let you know how and when to login to the group (when we have logged 3 registrations).
Open to California residents only.
The series will be led by a mental health provider from the Reproductive Psychology Program at Cedars-Sinai.
Cost: $160 ($40/session)
