About this Event
Community partners share information on fair housing, estate planning, grants and loans for making homes accessible or new home purchases affordable and more. Ask questions, learn about opportunities and tenant rights, and connect with community organizations. Organizations attending include Economic Action Maryland Fund, Pro Bono Resource Center, Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development, Habitat for Humanity Chesapeake and Live Baltimore.
At 3pm, Economic Action Maryland Fund will present Fair Housing 101.
This training is designed to help participants, such as housing providers, service providers, community members and advocates, learn about fair housing laws and regulations in a simple, easy-to-understand way. It also covers the basics of fair housing laws, including how to recognize and prevent discrimination, and how to support people with disabilities in finding and keeping accessible, fair housing.
