Program Description:
*****STEM Saturday Program includes scholars learning Graphic Animation and Design, Video Games Design and Development, and Robotics!*****
Video Games Design and Development
At the end of this HANDS-ON Video Games Design and Development program, scholars will be introduced to basic video game terminology such as Elements of Game Design, sprites, objects, and create and design in-class and at home video games. In addition, tutorials and videos will be provided to the students towards aiding their learning process of creating various video game(s).
Depending on the students' computer background and interest, students will be asked to select one of the FOLLOWING Video Games platforms to learn how to create and design their OWN video games:
1) Scratch
2) Roblox
3) Flowlabs
Graphic Animation and Design
At the end of this HANDS-ON Graphic Animation and Design Program, students will learn various animation techniques, storytelling principles, and character design. They will develop a strong foundation in animation, exploring the art of movement and timing to create dynamic and visually appealing animated videos. Hands-On Learning: They will learn to use industry-standard software and tools to bring their ideas to life. Through practical exercises and projects, they will enhance their technical skills while unleashing their creativity.
Career Opportunities: By mastering the art of animation, kids can explore careers as animators, character designers, storyboard artists, or even start their own animation studios. The Animation Course will provide them with the foundational knowledge and skills to pursue their passion in the world of animation.
Robotics
The CoderZ Code Farm Hour of Code that includes game-like missions. Students will be introduced to game-like missions that introduce them to key computer science and robotics concepts. Campers will build basic programming skills while learning how computing and robotics are used in modern agriculture.
