In addition to this we are holding two open sessions in October, we would like everyone who is participating in the closed group to attend at least one of these.

Please click here to sign up for open sessions.

And if you have not worked with us before and are not able to attend one of these open sessions, please contact us to arrange a meeting, before signing up for the closed group. ([email protected] or [email protected])

The Journey:

All the sessions will be held at Bristol Forest School. We will have a sheltered area around the fire, and will also spend time exploring among the trees and in the community of life beyond the fireside.

  • In collaboration with nature, we will be co-creating soulful, loving presence (Self-energy), to nourish and bring balance.

  • Space for you to be with and heal parts that might not feel welcome in everyday modern life: Playful parts, wild parts, quiet parts, scared parts, imaginative parts, sad parts, joyful parts...

  • We will move between restorative and explorative exercises and group processes, in order to faclitate a safe environment for connection and growth.

  • A blend of meditation, poetry, embodied exercises and sculpts, individual and group ceremony, journeying solo, working together in small groups, with lots of time for sharing, and welcoming eachother as a whole group.

  • Building our nature connection and parts work practice together as a group, deepening into safety and trust over six months.

Stepping into Connection:

It can be easy in our busy lives to shut down, disconnect from ourselves and others , to lose touch with nature and the essense of our beings. This is especially true in the colder months, when withdrawal can seem like the best option.

When we are connected, we are embodied, open, in our senses, alive to our inner landscape and to the landscape around us, able to be present with ourselves and to welcome the experience of others.

We slow down.

We start to notice the edges of our experiences, and to transcend our everyday perceptions and ways of being. We step fully into our human and non human world. This is where change can start to happen, and our lives start to change.

Slowing down offers us an opportunity to establish bonds of intimacy with those around us: partners, children, friends and out into the wider terrain of the beautiful and strange otherness. Francis Weller, In the Absence of the Other, 2020

Finding our unique place in the world:

Connecting in community is seldom a norm in our individualistic cultural frameworks, yet it seems that group connection is one of our deepest longings (sometimes so deep it is hard to admit to). We believe that safe healing groups are necessary to us as human beings.

What happens in groups can range from the incredibly uncomfortable to the sublime, yet when held with open heart, love and courage can lead to profound connection and belonging - soul even.

Through a blend of group and solo meditations, inspirations, explorations and play we will co-create a field of loving awareness. A safe open space where all parts of your personality are welcome, whether joyful or constrained, and including those that have been exiled or might carry the burdens we all carry, especially with respect to our natural world.

"Soul is the largest communication a being can have with the world" Bill Plotkin, Wild Mind, 2013

Internal Family Systems:

Our work is inspired and underpinned by the Internal Family Systems model. This group will be an opportunity to develop your IFS practice both individually, within a group setting, and in nature.

We ask that you have at least some background in IFS, if you are unsure whether your level of IFS is appropriate please do get in touch. ([email protected] or [email protected])

Venue:

The venue has a shelter over a fire within a woodland environment and access to a compost toilet. Away from the fire area the terrain is largely flat, though it will have the normal obstacles found in a woodland. If you have any doubts please get in touch. ([email protected] or [email protected])

Concessionary tickets:

Financial accessibility is important to us, and we are offering up to two half-price concessionary places to those who would otherwise be excluded by the cost of the workshop. If you feel that you qualify for one of these tickets please to get in touch and we will make a ticket available. ([email protected] or [email protected])

The total number of participants in the closed group is limited to 10 so, if you have worked with us before and you know you'd like to join, book soon to avoid dissapointment!

We look forward to welcoming you in the woods and around the fire.
