About this Event
Are you considering a career in health and social care or looking to make a career change? Join us at our Pathway to Professional Healthcare Careers Event on Tuesday 12th November, 6pm-8pm at the UHI Moray Street Campus, where you can discover a range of rewarding career paths within the health and social care sector and learn about the various educational pathways available to help you get there.
Whether you’re a school student exploring your subject choices, leaving school this year or next, unemployed, or seeking a fresh start in your career, this event is for you. We’ll cover a wide range of care professions, including (nursing, paramedic practice, allied health, and social work) highlighting the opportunities available for people of all ages and backgrounds.
You’ll hear from NHS Grampian about the range of professional healthcare careers. Thereafter, UHI Moray and Robert Gordon University will talk about their courses, including how placements work and ways you can fast-track your education to get into the workforce sooner. A panel of former students and healthcare professionals will also share their personal experiences, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with our speakers and representatives from various agencies, giving you the chance to ask questions and receive tailored advice to help you find your path in healthcare. After the Q&A session you'll ge the chance to walk round each marketplace stall wheer you, as an attendee can allow attendees to ask questions and engage with orgsniations about offerings before and after the event presentation. These organisations are:
