Pathway to Nursing

• Tour our nursing skills and simulation lab

• Hear from our Pathways to Nursing panel

• Meet our ABSN staff, Harding University Carr College of Nursing staff, and a Director of Nursing for Mercy Hospital

• Understand the pathway from nursing student to a career in nursing

• This is a free event and refreshments will be served.

Agenda:

• 5:30 | Doors open, check-in

• 5:30-6:00 | Mingle with current students and staff, site tours, refreshments

• 6:00-6:30 | Site director welcome, staff introductions, program overview

o Meet the Mercy Hospital Director of Nursing- Cardiac/Neuro, Medical/Telemetry, Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, Bobbi Morris, to learn more about the nursing pathway including workforce development opportunities before, during and after the ABSN program and tuition reimbursement.

• 6:30-7:30 | Pathways to Nursing Panel

o This will include a Director of Nursing from Mercy Hospital, Harding Carr College of Nursing and ABSN program directors, and current Harding University ABSN students.

• 7:30-8:00 | Final site tour (for those who missed initial tours from 5:30-6:00)
