Pat Kirtley from Bardstown Kentucky is an acclaimed American fingerstyle guitarist composer and
educator whose work has brought distinction to Kentucky’s musical heritage. He emerged as a solo performer in the 1990s gaining national recognition when he won the National Thumbpicking Contest (1994) and the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship (1995).
His debut album Kentucky Guitar was critically praised and followed by a prolific recording career
spanning multiple genres—Celtic Brazilian folk and contemporary acoustic music.
