Join Pittsburghers Against Single-Use Plastic for our annual Plastic-free Potluck Community Picnic, Rain or Shine!
This FREE event will be held on the front porch and lawn of the Pittsburgh Friends Meeting House in Shadyside (Inside the Meeting House in case of bad weather!) Bring a dish to share, reusable dishes for your own use, and a blanket or lawn chairs on which to picnic! This event is welcoming to all, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors!

We'll provide:
- Yard space for great weather, porch space and indoor space for a uncooperative weather conditions or indoor picnickers!
- A selection of (non-alcoholic) drinks
- A FREE clothing swap! Bring something to swap/ donate or just "shop" for free! (please limit your contributions to ONE bag of great condition clothing)
- Kid and adult activities & games!
- Rock painting
- The goods to play with giant bubbles!
- A chance to meet and network with like-minded folks!
- An opportunity to learn what PASUP is all about
- A few short talks to inform us what's happening (and how we can become more engaged) locally, regionally and internationally regarding plastics
- Contact with local environmental groups and organizations: learn what they do and how you might get involved!
- Representatives from local green businesses: shop for some plastic alternatives!
- Music (and maybe even a little sing along)!
- A good time for all!
Things to bring as you are able:
- A dish to share at our meal (please include a card listing all ingredients to address possible allergies) and
- A list of all disposable plastic used in creating your dish (for a game with prizes!)
- Lawn chair or blanket
- Your own dishes, utensils, and water bottle-(we’ll provide some reusable dishware in case you forget!)
- Any and all interested friends and family!
