Rev. Dr. Charles (Chuck) Hunt, D.Min has been ministering to adolescents, young adults, and their families for more than 30 years and is currently the Sr. Director of Training and DEI for Fuller Youth Institute. He was born in Virginia and grew up in Huntington Beach, CA where his love for adventure developed. He has a BS from Hampton University as well as an M.Div and D.Min from Fuller Theological Seminary. Chuck is passionate about Christ’s call to restore our relationship with God and with each other, thus he advocates for righteousness and justice. He has a proven record of building teams in the church and fostering partnerships with organizations in the community. Through both his career and lived experience, Chuck has an ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural, spiritual, and economic backgrounds. He lives with his wife Shannon and their young adult daughter Rhyen, in Southern California.


Rev. Dr. Virginia Ward serves as the Dean of Gordon Conwell's Campus of Urban Ministerial Education (CUME) in Roxbury, MA, which offers premium theological education with an emphasis in practical ministry for the church situated in the city. CUME prepares diverse men and women seeking the peace of the city in varied ethnic contexts. Dr. Ward’s local and national involvement in the training and development of youth leaders spans three decades. She teaches youth ministry, leadership and urban ministry development courses for the Boston Campus. She conducts research on ethnic/multi-ethnic youth and family ministry.

Dr. Ward comes with extensive experience as an urban pastor, ministry organizer, and youth ministry expert. Dr. Ward pursued education in ministry, earning her Diploma in Urban Ministries, Master of Arts in Youth Ministry, and Doctor of Ministry in Emerging Generations, all at Gordon-Conwell. A third-generation minister, Dr. Ward is an Associate Pastor at Abundant Life Church where her husband Bishop Lawrence Ward is the Senior Pastor.

Among the many ministry organizations Dr. Ward has served are: DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative, InterVarsity, New England, and Orange. She is co-author on the book It’s Personal: Five Questions You Should Answer To Give Every Kid Hope, and 5 Views on the Future of Youth Ministry. She resides in Boston with her husband and they have two adult sons.
