Greg Hansell is a Fellow, Councillor, pastel teacher, and Art School Director at the Royal Art Society of NSW. He is a specialist pastel painter using his hand made and shop bought coloured pastels.The hand made earth pastels are made only from sedimentary rocks and clays, there is no additional use of binders or pigments.
Greg states that most of his work has been inspired by the Renaissance masters and the natural beauty of the colourful Australian countryside.
His work represents the traditionalist and realist school of Australian painting. Greg embraces light and colour in a refined way that really enhances the beauty of flowers.
