About this Event
Cooking, eating and dancing all in one place. Join us as we teach traditional handmade Italian pasta and Latin dancing. This is a one of a kind event that has now come back to Sacramento. If you love great food, music, wine and dance then this is the event for you. Classes are taught by a professional dance instructor and pasta chef trained in Italy. Your taste buds will be in full delight as you learn to make your own pasta from scratch. Your feet and body will be buzzing as you dance with your friends, family, loved ones, co-workers or whomever you have in mind.
Ghnocetti is on the menu for this evening!
The robust texture and shape of gnocchetti sardi make them versatile and suitable for a variety of sauces, including:
- Traditional: They are most famously served with the traditional Campidanese sauce, a hearty tomato sauce with Sardinian sausage and grated Pecorino cheese.
- Meat Sauces: They pair well with other rich meat ragùs, such as lamb or beef.
- Creamy Sauces: The ridges allow them to cling to creamy cheese sauces, pesto, and butter-based sauces.
Bachata is on the dance menu!
Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically. The basics to the dance are three-step with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including a hip movement on the 4th beat. Don't worry if you don't know how to dance. We will show you.
