While painting a collaborative mini-mural, we'll celebrate the stories, cultures, and characteristics that represent our neighborhoods. From the roots of the past to the hopes of the future, this hands-on community art event is free and open to all ages and artistic abilities. Led by local Chicana artist Jazzelle Bustos, this session offers a lesson in the tradition of visual storytelling. Learn about the heritage behind some of Pueblo’s public murals, have a brief art lesson, and personalize a tile that will be added to the neighborhood mini-mural project. Bring your memories, creativity, and love for the community; we’ll bring all the materials you will need. Join us to make your mark and leave your legacy at the library!
Jazzelle Bustos is a multidisciplinary artist dedicated to Indigenous culture and modern storytelling. Her murals, digital works, and community projects celebrate resilience, identity, and transformation, inviting audiences to engage in shared spaces where heritage and community come alive.
