Past Pleasures: A Hands-On Tour of Historical Sex Objects (18+)

Step into the past with historian Dr. Kate Stephenson as she leads you through an engaging exploration of historical sex objects. This one-of-a-kind event invites you to dive into the intriguing world of sexual history through engaging replicas of historical artifacts.

Ever wondered how condoms were made from animal gut? Curious about the design of an 18th-century dildo? Or the Victorian reimagining of the Medieval chastity belt? Now’s your chance to explore these curious objects in person. All replicas, of course, allowing you to enjoy a hands-on, immersive experience.

Event Schedule:

• 7:30 - 8:00 PM: Social & Networking
  Start the evening with some light refreshments, learn more about Pillow Talk, and get to know the other event attendees.
• 8:00 PM: Sex History Myth Busting
  Challenge popular misconceptions about sexual history and participate in a fun, myth-busting quiz with a prize for the winner.
• 8:30 PM: Historical Condom Making Demonstration
  Watch and participate as Dr. Stephenson walks you through how condoms were made in the past using animal gut.
• 9:00 PM: Objects of Pleasure: Historical Sex Toys
  A fascinating mini-lecture on the evolution of sex toys, including the opportunity to handle and examine historical replicas.
• 9:30 PM: Ask the Historian
  Have burning questions? Dr. Stephenson will finish the evening with an open Q&A session.
