Who is the perfomer?
Your host and performer is Eric Xi Xin Liang—a world-acclaimed award-winning pianist and Principal Software Engineer at just 25 years old. An alumnus of the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) Eric began with a humble musical upbringing that quickly grew into something extraordinary. He went on to win every major competition at VAM performing twice as a soloist with the VAMSO at Vancouver’s prestigious Orpheum Theatre. That momentum carried him into national and international competitions where he continued to win and establish a reputation that stretched far beyond Canada.
What makes Eric’s artistry stand out is not just his virtuosity but his musicality—the way he can evoke the most powerful transcendent emotions in his listeners. Guided by instinct and a bold iconoclastic spirit he stepped outside the usual piano repertoire to explore music rarely touched by others. This daring vision has fueled a thriving YouTube channel with nearly a million views and fans across the world—in Japan South Korea Germany the UK the US Brazil and beyond.
And now this late September Eric invites you into his world—live in Vancouver or via YouTube livestream—for a performance that reflects the music closest to his heart. Music that has given him unshakable warmth and optimism in life even in a turbulent world. An experience that promises to move you challenge you and stay with you long after the final note.
