The Passionflower Duo presents a program that celebrates music by queer composers, during pride month at the height of spring. Focusing on optimism, joy, and authenticity, they will perform a collection of songs by composers from the 19th and 20th centuries, celebrating some of the countless incredible contributions to song forms by queer artists. The duo is a dynamic recital partnership, specializing in classical song. The duo has been performing throughout the Bay Area since 2018, and emphasize creative, ambitious, and expansive programming for voice and piano. Programs have included Elements: Romantic and Neo-Romantic Song, (2018-2019); On Desire, A Song Recital (2021); and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (2021).
