FR* Marcher en ville, du Moyen-Âge à aujourd'hui *
~ Enregistrement live d'un hors série du podcast Passion Médiévistes avec l'artiste et chercheuse Amalia Laurent. ~
À l'occasion de Feral, Fanny Cohen Moreau enregistrera un hors-série de son podcast, Passion Médiévistes, en live avec l'artiste et chercheuse Amalia Laurent. Celui-ci portera sur la thèse que développe cette dernière, proposant une étude historique et anthropologique sur les modalités de construction et d’élaboration des performances liturgiques à l’époque contemporaine.
Elle prend la suite d’une recherche initiée dans son master à l’EHESS (Paris) qui portait sur les liens entre architecture, musique, iconographie et spiritualité dans la culture javanaise, et qui a conduit à aborder l’image d’une part à travers la notion de performativité spatiale et d’autre part dans la façon dont elle se développe à l’intérieur d’un espace conçu « en profondeur ». Si nous posons que la performance, possédant une organisation et un rythme, est un objet qui se développe dans le temps et l’espace, alors elle produit à son tour un objet qui est lui-même spatio-temporel. Autrement dit, le lieu de la performance est une cristallisation spatiale qui s’accumule en profondeur et dans le temps.
Fanny Cohen Moreau (FR)
Fanny Cohen Moreau est diplômée en journalisme et en histoire. Après des expériences dans des médias nationaux français (France Inter, France Télévisions, Europe 1...), elle devient podcasteuse en 2017 et produit des podcasts en indépendante tels que Passion Médiévistes, Passion Modernistes et Passion Antiquités. Elle travaille aussi en free-lance pour d'autres et propose des formations pour tout type de public autour du podcast.
Amalia Laurent (FR)
Amalia Laurent est artiste plasticienne. Elle est diplômée de l'EHESS (Paris, FR) en 2023, du Royal College of Art (Londres, UK) en 2018 et de l’École des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (FR) en 2015. Elle réalise actuellement une recherche de thèse autour des liens entre dispositions architecturales et pratiques processionnelles à l’EHESS et est actuellement pensionnaire à la Villa Médicis (2024-2025) à Rome.

Cet événement a lieu dans le cadre de Feral, un festival qui porte une réflexion sur les urgences politiques et sociales d’aujourd’hui et leur prise en main par les artistes. Il s’agit d’un programme d’interventions et de rencontres artistiques qui viennent influer de l’art le quotidien bruxellois. Feral peut s’inviter sur un bateau, dans une ferme, une piscine ou un ancien monastère. C’est un festival urbain, interstitiel, périphérique et féral.

* Walking in the City, from the Middle Ages to today *
~ Live recording of a special edition of Passion Médiévistes podcast with artist and researcher Amalia Laurent. ~

During Feral, Fanny Cohen Moreau will be recording a special live edition of her podacst, Passion Médiévistes, with artist and researcher Amalia Laurent as a guest. It will focus on Amalia Laurent's thesis, a historical and anthropological study of the ways in which liturgical performances are constructed and developed in contemporary times.
It follows on from the research she initiated during her masters at the EHESS, which looked at the links between architecture, music, iconography and spirituality in Javanese culture, and led to approaching images both through the notion of spatial performativity and through way they develop within a space conceived “in depth”. If we state that performance, with its organisation and rhythm, is an object that develops in time and space, then it produces an object that is in itself spatio-temporal. In other words, the site of the performance is a spatial crystallisation that accumulates in depth and over time.
Fanny Cohen Moreau (FR)
Fanny Cohen Moreau studied journalism and history. After working in french national media (France Inter, France Télévisions, Europe 1...), she became a podcaster in 2017 and produces podcasts on a freelance basis such as Passion Médiévistes, Passion Modernistes and Passion Antiquités. She also works freelance for others and offers podcast training for all kinds of audiences.
Amalia Laurent (FR)
Amalia Laurent is a visual artist. She graduated from the EHESS (Paris, FR) in 2023, from the Royal College of Art (London, UK) in 2018 and from the École des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (FR) in 2015. She is currently completing a PhD on the links between architectural arrangements and processional practices at the EHESS and is also a resident at the Villa Médicis (2024-2025) in Rome.
