Created especially for the 2025 State History Conference, the exhibition Passion and Protest: Cockburn Community Speaks Up! explores the powerful stories of activism and advocacy that have shaped the City of Cockburn — from Nyungar resistance to colonisation, to community campaigns for transport, food justice, and environmental protection. The exhibition highlights how Cockburn’s diverse landscapes, coastal, wetland, and bushland, have inspired generations of residents to speak up for their communities.
