About this Event
The Gamble House is pleased to participate in WALKTOBER PASADENA, the 8th Annual Celebration of Walking in Pasadena!
The Bird Walk will be guided by Jodhan Fine—avid birder and PAS Community Engagement Liaison—along with a Spanish-language translator, for a guided Bird Walk through the neighborhood surrounding The Gamble House. Together, we’ll look and listen for local and native species during this especially lively season of fall migration.
Bring your binoculars if you have them—extras will be available to borrow. A spotting scope will also be on hand to make it easier for everyone, especially those new to birding, to enjoy a closer look.
- The Bird Walk is approximately 1.5 hours and begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Gamble House Bookstore.
- The walk will be a 1-mile loop on mostly flat terrain.
- Please bring water, sunscreen, appropriate walking shoes and a hat.
- This walk will be a Bilingual English/Spanish walk.
The Pasadena Audubon Society will provide free pamphlets on birding, the organization and how to identify local birds during the event.
- We encourage walking, biking or taking transit to all Walktober events. Check the Pasadena Transit and Metro websites for transit options. Google maps walking and biking directions can also be helpful.
- City installed bike racks are available at or near the start location.
- Street parking is available at or near the start location. Check the parking signs for restrictions or pay options.
- Paid parking is not available in the area.
This event is part of Walktober Pasadena 2025, made possible by the City of Pasadena Department of Transportation, Day One, and the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition.
