Join us in celebrating our earth and all who inhabit it at Party for the Planet! This event honors Earth Day, World Oceans Day, and Endangered Species Day. We will have booths throughout the zoo from local organizations, including Wildlife in Need, Purple Martin Conservation, Presque Isle Audubon, newBin, Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park (LEAF), and NWPA Beekeeper Association! Erie Zoo will also be hosting tables where you can learn about composting and endangered species! Take the chance to participate in our Conservation Donation Challenge and make a difference for our wildlife! This year, we are holding a Conservation Donation Challenge, a fun and exciting initiative to raise funds for our conservation partners. The challenge is between our Wild Dogs, African Penguins, and Tortoises. Voting will open on our website on May 12th and end at our Party for the Planet celebration, where you will have your last chance to vote for your favorite endangered species. The funds raised through our challenge will go to the Painted Dogs Research Trust, SANCCOB Save Seabirds, and Myanmar Turtle & Tortoise Conservation. All of our participating species will receive special party enrichment! The winning species will become the Erie Zoo's Facebook Page's header photo, and we'll post a personalized social media post about them.
Remember, the event is included with the price of admission or free with an Erie Zoo membership. The Party will go on, rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you there!
