All funds raised support Chestnut Ridge Park through the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy.

The Chestnut Ridge Conservancy (CRC) formed in 2010 to support restoration and preservation of the rich natural, recreational, and historic resources that comprise Erie County’s Chestnut Ridge Park. CRC (https://chestnutridgeconservancy.org/) works with Erie County (EC) and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry to fund needed capital projects, advocate for the park and increase awareness and visitors. Major projects include “A Playground for All” in 2021 and more than $1million in capital improvements. CRC sponsors events that are free and open to the public including Santaland, Winterfest, outdoor movies, a kite festival and tennis tournaments.
About Chestnut Ridge Park
Chestnut Ridge is Erie County’s oldest, largest and most popular county park with majestic views of Buffalo and Lake Erie from its famous sledding ridge. Created in 1926, 1,231 acres offer winter sports, historic structures built by Works Project Administration including the 1938-era casino, picnic shelters, hiking trails, and the “Eternal Flame Falls”.
