To celebrate Learning Disability Awareness Week, Partnership Southwark are hosting a showcase event for professionals and carers
About this Event

The Learning Disability Showcase Event is for anyone supporting people with learning disabilities in Southwark; family carers, support workers, health and social care professionals, learning disability service provider organisations and more.

The day is for professionals and carers to learn more about different services available to people with a learning disability living in Southwark. There will be stalls run by lots of different services and organisations as well as a series of talks throughout the day. You can see the agenda here. The talks will include topics such as:

  • managing challenging behaviour
  • looking after physical health
  • personal budgets
  • living and dying well
  • Medic*tion
  • carer’s support.

People attending can drop in at any point during the day and do not need to attend the whole event. People don't have to register to attend but we encourage you to do so as it will give us an idea of attendance ahead of the day.

A timetable of talks will be sent out to those who have registered closer to the event.

If you have any questions, please contact Jordan Oliver on [email protected]
