Partner Charleston For Dancers, 6 weeks, starting Wednesday July 24h, 7.5 hours of classes.
7:15pm to 8:30pm

Prior dance experience of some kind is recommended but not required.
COURSE DETAILS
Get a solid introduction to 1930s Swing era Charleston or refresh, broaden and solidify your knowledge of the style.
Starting with a side by side basic we will progress to classic moves such as skip up, hand to hand and tandem Charleston, we will focus on comfortable and clear connection, leading and following technique, pulse, posture and use of momentum. Charleston in addition to being a part of Lindy Hop can be adapted for solo dance, and it is a fun and versatile style that can be mixed in with other dance styles such as Balboa and Collegiate Shag

July 24, Charleston Basic partnering and Skip Up and turn back
July 31 Airplane kicks
August 7 Hand to hand and variations
August 14 Tandem Charleston.
August 21 Hacksaw and sailor’s knot.
August 28 Review and combining Charleston with 6 and 8 count Lindy moves

$130, $105 for full-time students with ID
- Drop-in charge for a single class for those who already do Charleston: $25
- Advanced Charleston dancers are welcome to taxi at no charge.
