This Participatory Concert will be a shared artistic expression and experiment between Sveya and Sabine. As one shares their song, the other one supports through translating the emotionality of the song into movement improvisation and voice. There will be a guided warm up in the beginning to prepare the body for listening. It will be an acoustic event with no amplification, and ideas and questions can be shared along the way. We wish to create a space where art and performance brings us closer together and inspires reflection.
Sveya is a Berlin-based genre-fluid singer/songwriter, dancer and performance artist.
She finds beauty in failure, the weirdness, wildness & tenderness of being human.
From the power of rage to playful, chaotic friendships and the preciousness of holding one's body to the creative & destructive potential of deep passion- what unifies the diverse moods & themes of Sveya's songs is the sincerity and poetry of her songwriting.
Sabine is a queer, neurodivergent, artist and performer based in Copenhagen. She has education in contemporary dance and Alexander Technique and has been writing songs since she was 18 to understand and process the emotional landscapes of growing up, changing and maturing.
In all the things she does there is a focus on care, transformation and shared humanity. Through her work with embodiment, freeing the voice and songwriting, she channels the intense and subtle process of de-shaming trauma through listening - and letting the wisdom of emotions lead the way.
Ticket price between 75-145 kr. and is purchased in the door.
