Our Part-time Evening Language courses are now open for the general public, current UoC students and for staff and alumni!
Starting Week of October 13th 2025, there’s a perfect course for you, whether you’re a newbie or an expert in:

French
German
Italian
Japanese

Portuguese
Spanish
Welsh
Our language evening classes are a great way to expand and develop your language skills if you have a passion for learning another language, are looking to learn or improve a language for business reasons, or simply want help with your holiday conversations!
We are proud to create an air of camaraderie and friendship in our groups, and we will motivate you to retain an ongoing interest in learning, encouraging all our students to support one another as they learn. Some classes will follow a particular course book, which the tutor will highlight in your first class.
If you are a member of the public (not a University of Chester student), the cost of one of our language evening classes is £389. These classes run for a total of 20 weeks.
If you are a University of Chester student, all our evening classes are free (with a deposit). The language evening courses require a deposit of £100, but this will be refunded back to you after course completion (attending at least 80% of the sessions). University of Chester Staff are also entitled to a discount. Please contact [email protected] to find out more.
