About this Event
Join multidisciplinary designers And+ Studios for a unique workshop exploring furniture manufacturing and 3D Design.
In the spirit of our current exhibition BUILDING, we have created a programme of activities to encourage our visitors to connect with the process of building and making, and get hands-on with live projects in our galleries. Working with cardboard and CNC Plywood shapes participants will investigate the process involved in furniture manufacturing. We will slot, bolt and balance to create a mini-Plywood stool to take home with you!
What to expect
Hands on making: Work across scales – from cardboard maquettes to ply shapes and learn to think both sculpturally and spatially.
Practical expertise: Learn more about the design process, from materials to assembly.
Create your own piece of furniture: Assemble a mini-Plywood footstool to take home with you.
