We are excited to welcome Parsonsfield to The Silo for an afternoon, socially-distanced, outdoor show.
The goal of each of our live events is to bring people together while supporting artists and giving back to the community.
This event will take place at The Silo, located in New Milford, CT. Formerly run by Skitch and Ruth Henderson, The Silo is a place for learning and celebrating through the arts and music while taking part in peace, love, and solidarity.
The Silo features an outdoor space that can accommodate up to 200 people. For this event, we will only be selling 70 tickets to ensure more than adequate spacing so that all attendees can feel comfortable. As well, the lawn area will be set up with specific areas for groups to sit that are clearly marked for social distancing.
In addition to purchasing a ticket for the event, we kindly request that each person bring 1 LB of non-perishable food that will be donated to the New Milford Social Services. We thank you in advance for your generous support of our community.
We will be following the procedures listed below in order to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all attendees and performers. Please note that these procedures are subject to change based upon local and national COVID guidance.
-All attendees must pre-purchase a ticket to the event. Tickets will not be available at the door.
-Attendees must wear a mask upon arrival. Your mask will be worn until you are seated, as well as anytime you leave your designated space (ie. to use the restroom).
-We will be unable to seat you without a mask. This is for the safety and comfort of all.
-Groups of attendees will sit together based upon tickets purchased and/or requests. Meaning, groups of families and friends may sit together.
-All groups will be six feet away from other groups (just like outdoor dining at a restaurant).
-Please ensure that you adhere to six-foot distancing rules when interacting with people you are not attending the show with
-Attendance will be less than half-capacity of the outdoor space to ensure comfort and safety.
-Please BYO chairs, as well as food and drink.

About Parsonsfield:
One listen to Happy Hour On The Floor, the band's third full-length release, and it's clear just how liberated Parsonsfield has become. Produced by Benjamin Lazar Davis (Joan As Police Woman, Okkervil River), the record fuses the group's rustic instrumentation and timeless sense of songcraft with dreamy synthesizers and vintage drum machines.
The arrangements here are broad and spacious, often built off spare, hypnotizing loops that fuel the songs' mesmerizing drive, and the band's performances are deliberate and economical to match, substituting lean, careful construction in place of the strummed exuberance that defined much of their early work. The result is a record more reminiscent of modern indie pop than old-school string bands, a collection that pushes the group far beyond the perceived boundaries of its sound, even as it shines a spotlight on the heart and soul of what's always made Parsonsfield's music such a joyous revelation.
