Join us for a social hour, video screening, and community conversation!Tonight's topic is about taking a deeper look at our city budget.
In order to provide critical life-sustaining services to the public not only today, but for generations to come, cities must be good stewards of the public purse over the long-term. We must be able to ask: can my city afford to continue doing this forever? The problem is that most people have no idea what the answer is.
The video will feature: Charles Marohn and long-time member and local budget aficionado Michel Durand-Wood. They will explore the problem with how so many citizens and leaders view their local budgets, and the real questions we should be asking to determine local fiscal solvency.
Community discussion to follow with local special guests.
This series is for all Little Rock residents, and especially those who are, or aspire to be, active in community development, transportation/mobility, housing, and city budget decisions.
