Parrot Pals Family-Friendly Event at Care-A-Lot Pet SupplyThis FREE educational showcase teaches kids all about exotic birds like parrots and the care that goes into them. Activities include meeting rescue animal ambassadors from Nana and Papa’s Nest Inc, getting a closer look through microscopes, puppet shows, mascots, and more! Guests are encouraged to bring cameras for photo ops with their mascot, Sam the Parrot, as well as their curious minds and questions. This event is FREE and available for all ages!
Leashed dogs are welcome throughout Care-A-Lot Pet Supply but are advised to stay outside the training/event room for the safety of the birds.
Nana and Papa’s Nest Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization of experienced volunteers with the mission to ensure a holistic, healthy, safe-haven, and the well-being of parrots. They take in parrots who are surrendered to veterinarian’s, animal shelters, (who are mostly unequipped to care for birds), and from owners who are no longer able to take care of their birds due to unforeseen circumstances.
