Join us for a free, hands-on Parol-Making Workshop presented by the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Foundation (GRAPF) as part of World of Winter Fest 2026.
A Parol is a traditional Filipino Christmas lantern that symbolizes hope, peace, and the triumph of light over darkness. It’s a cherished holiday tradition that brings communities together through creativity and celebration.
During this workshop, participants will create their own beautiful parols. All materials will be provided (while supplies last)—but you’re welcome to bring your own decorations to make your lantern extra special.
Once completed, your parol will be part of a community display at 106 Gallery, on view from November 23, 2025 through March 1, 2026.
