About this Event
Join the Center for Applied Imagination for a dynamic, hands-on ideation and design session that invites members of the Creativity and Change Leadership Community—alumni, students, faculty, and friends—to help shape the next major addition to the Innovation Suite at Buffalo State University. This interactive event will gather participant input to inform a new mural designed by community-engaged muralist and Buff State alum Saira Siddiqui, whose work emphasizes collaboration, belonging, and the power of shared voices. The mural will be installed in the Sidney and Bea Parnes Creativity Collection, Phase Two of the Innovation Suite project that began with the opening of the Alex F. Osborn Brainstorming Room in Summer 2025.
During this session, attendees will participate in guided creative exercises, idea-sharing activities, and visual exploration to help generate themes, stories, and imagery that reflect the identity, mission, and aspirations of our Creativity and Change Leadership Community. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event will take place in the Osborn Brainstorming Room—the future home of the Parnes Creativity Collection.
To ensure broad participation, a digital survey will also be distributed for those who cannot attend in person. Whether you are contributing ideas, sharing your personal connection to the program, or simply joining the conversation, your voice will play an important role in shaping this inspiring community-centered mural.
