Bringing together witty social commentary with a distinctive songwriting approach that is very much their own, Parliamo are one of Scotland’s most exciting young prospects. Releasing their debut EP ‘The Parliamo Manifesto’ in 2021, it saw the band employ a tongue-in-cheek approach to some of the darker aspects of life faced by young people and marked them out as a major emerging talent to watch.
Turning heads with their self-proclaimed brand of “underground pop”, the band have since attracted praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio Scotland, Radio X, KEXP and more.
Developing a formidable live reputation at their live shows in recent years, the band have performed at the likes of
TRNSMT, New Colossus and the prestigious SXSW, as well as supporting The View and The Lathums at major UK
venues. Gearing up for more dates this spring/summer, the band will play headline shows in Scotland, as well as
festival dates, and a support slot in Glasgow with The Snuts.
Surface Air
Risen from the splintering bone ashes of prog, punk and the remains of no-wave, Surface air will be gracing the stage with none other than Joe Williams of Jakabol fame on the bass guitar.
Thus completing the lineup consisting of Ex My Octopus Mind / Ogives Big Band heavyweight drummer Oli Cocup and Windshakes / Sevilles very own guitar genius and part time medieval knife swallower, Killian Lee
