Parkinson’s UK are holding a carers event at the Hamworthy Club in Wimborne on Tuesday 7 October. The event, which included a complimentary buffet lunch, will run from 10am to 2pm and is aimed at providing carers within the community with valuable resources, advice and coping mechanisms, while also fostering a sense of community. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities and talks, including relaxation sessions, discussions on coping strategies and information on benefits and rights. There will also be a cafe-style area for peer support and marketplace where visitors will be able to connect with partner organisations that support carers.
