Join us as we embark on a musical cruise around the world to celebrate 30 years of bringing music to Parker and beyond!
In our final concert of the season, we welcome you back to “The Americas” with toe-tapping, finger-snapping Latin American rhythms and familiar American song. Enjoy compositions like Barber’s “Overture to the School for Scandal,” Grant-Still’s “Wood Notes,” Hayman’s “Pops Hoedown,” and – transitioning us to that Latin flare – Copland’s “El Salon Mexico,” Moncayo’s “Huapango,” Piazzolla’s “Liberttango,” and the famous “Danzon #2 by Márquez.
ABOUT THE PARKER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Parker Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer community orchestra that performs at the PACE Center from October to May. Founded in 1994, our 2023-24 season will be our 30th year together. Formerly the South Suburban Community Orchestra, we became the Parker Symphony Orchestra in 2011. Our mission is to perform orchestral music that will educate, entertain, and inspire the people of Parker, our musicians, and the surrounding Denver-area communities.
