Did you know that 1 in 8 Australians are unpaid carers? Unpaid carers are people who look after a family member, friend or partner who is living with a chronic health condition, mental illness, disability or who is frail due to age.
To show our support for carers, Parks Victoria and Merri Health Carer Gateway have partnered together to offer walks specifically for them.
The interactive peer support group will combine a safe space to connect with other carers and share your stories whilst walking through leafy Yarra Bend Park. Volunteers from Parks Victoria and Merri Health Carer Gateway will be on hand to support discussion and guide the walk.
