Note there is a fee of $5 for admission into the state park (unless you have the annual pass or check out a pass from the local library). Everyone will meet at the Park Visitor Center for both parts of the event.Part One - ALL AGES (K-12) starting at 11 promptly, led by park volunteers and Ranger Shannon, we will work on a trail walk with nature journaling (each event will consist of different hike, discussion, journaling activity). After our trail walk, we will work on Project Wild/Team Building activity/game with our group. Part one is expected to last approximately 1 hour.
Lunch (bring your own) and hang at the playground for a break.
Part Two - ALL AGES (K-12) Junior Ranger Program at 1 promptly; we will be working to complete the Junior Ranger program for Amicalola State Park.
Part Three - 7+ AGES starting promptly at 3 will work with Ranger Shannon on exploring Wilderness Skills. Nothing specific needs to be brought by students, everything will be provided. Parents must remain and there is no additional cost involved.
