This weekend, 32 neighbors came together at Dove Springs Park.Among our volunteers were 13 student-athletes from the St. Edward’s University Baseball Team who showed up ready to work. Watching college athletes serve alongside neighborhood kids sends a message: real strength is service.
We also had a group of kids from a local school, plus young families who chose community over convenience. Ten youth volunteers in total — the next generation of stewards.
When youth are given leadership, they rise.
