This Earth Day weekend 16th Street Heights neighbors are invited to join the 16th Street Neighborhood Association for a spring cleaning of Upshur Park and a community picnic at Piney Spring Green!On Saturday, April 20 starting at 10 AM, come help get Upshur Park in great shape for the spring season. Meet us by the playground picnic tables to pick up garbage bags and gloves. We'll pick up litter, rake up debris, and do some general spring cleaning of the entire rec center area. This activity is eligible for student community service hours.
From 12-3 PM we'll head over to Piney Spring Green (located in the alley off 15th Street, between Varnum & Webster) for burgers, hot dogs, kids games and a chance to connect with neighbors. Both events are free and open to everyone. We hope you'll join us!
