ABOUT SPECIAL GUEST REP. RITCHIE TORRES
Congressman Ritchie Torres represents New York’s 15th congressional district based in the Bronx borough of New York City. He has spent his entire life working for the community he calls home. While Ritchie grew up with mold, lead, leaks, and no reliable heat or hot water in the winter, he watched the government spend over $100 million dollars to build a golf course across the street for Donald Trump. In 2013, at the age of 25, Ritchie became New York City’s youngest elected official and the first openly LGBTQ person elected to office in the Bronx. In 2020, Ritchie made history – with the help of Equality PAC – and was elected the first LGBTQ Afro Latino elected to federal office, and the first openly LGBTQ person elected to Congress from New York City. Ritchie is a member of the Committee on Financial Services and the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. Read more about Rep. Ritchie Torres on his website.
ABOUT SPECIAL GUEST REP. MIKE QUIGLEY

Mike currently serves on the influential House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He also currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development. Ensuring Americans know how their government is working for them is one of Mike’s highest priorities. He founded the bipartisan Congressional Transparency Caucus to bring members of Congress together in this effort and has introduced landmark legislation to significantly strengthen oversight of all branches of the federal government. He continues to fight for a woman’s right to choose, commonsense gun law reforms that will make our communities safer, and for full LGBTQIA+ equality as Vice-Chair of the LGBT Equality Caucus.
