Join us in honoring the accomplishments of Black queer individuals, both past and present, as part of an ongoing initiative to elevate the stories and contributions of Black LGBTQ+ communities.
This Year’s Highlight: A free screening of the 35th anniversary of Paris is Burning, the iconic documentary that provides an intimate glimpse into the Harlem drag ball scene of the late 1980s. The film honors the resilience, creativity, and community-building within Black and Latine LGBTQ+ spaces, while exploring timeless themes of identity, family, and survival.
Panel Discussion: Insights from Black community members on the history and future of ballroom culture and Black queer identity.
