Parenting today means navigating new frontiers of technology, screen time, and digital identity. Parents Unplugged brings together thought leaders, clinicians, athletes, and advocates for an evening of conversation, community, and practical strategies to raise resilient kids in a connected world.
Hosted in partnership with TEDxNashville, the evening begins with a grounding welcome from Larissa “Larz” May, digital wellness pioneer, joined by Jeremy Snow, President of TEDxNashville. The program continues with a moderated panel conversation featuring Amanda Little (Vanderbilt professor & journalist), Dr. Raghu Appasani (integrative psychiatrist & Ginko co-founder), Ben Zobrist (World Series champion & leadership mentor), and Jason Wahler (recovery advocate & media voice for resilience in parenting).
Together, they’ll unpack pressing issues facing families: data and digital footprints (“Data Dads”), online vs. offline safety, and the challenges of raising kids amid constant screens. Closing the evening, Larz and Dr. Appasani will lead an interactive Q&A with parents—triaging real scenarios and offering step-by-step strategies for navigating screen-time battles, digital protection, and everyday tech stressors.
