Ready to Take Your Special Education Knowledge to the Next Level?
If you live in Virginia, have a child currently enrolled in Virginia’s public school system with an active IEP, and have been involved in the special education process for at least 3 years, OR if you’re a graduate of PEATC’s Parent Institute, you’re eligible to apply for our Parents as Collaborative Leaders (PACL) training!
PACL offers a deeper dive into the IEP process and helps you strengthen your leadership skills as a partner in your child’s education. This interactive training covers key topics like building strong IEPs, understanding related services, least restrictive environment (LRE), transition planning, and exploring dispute resolution options as you build your collaborative leadership skills.

This is a free 3-day IN PERSON event.
Accepted participants are provided a complimentary hotel room and meals.
This is an adults-only event, and childcare is not provided.
- DAY 1 - July 27th: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- DAY 2 - July 28th: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- DAY 3 - July 29th: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
*There are a limited number of spots available for Virginia parent(s)/guardians, so please apply early.*
The $30 registration fee will be refunded after the event to those accepted participants who attend the training in its entirety and meet the requirements of the event.
