Children learn through active play and creativity which stimulates the brain and heart connectiveness. Having fun and sharing aroha in a safe cozy space, builds positive warm relationships and trust with others.Our aim is to empower parents and caregivers as their child’s first and most influential teacher by developing parenting, school readiness and life skills throughout our weekly support group. Our yearly program is designed specifically to help expectant parents, people caring for newborns, and anyone caring for children through age 4 deepen they’re at home connectedness through purposeful play and making the most of everyday moments.
Our facilitators Deirdre Landon, BEd (Teaching), Mother, Early Childhood Educator, Pasifica Success advocate and Tuncay Shosanya a mother of five and a play group facilitator will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 10am 12pm at Shiloh Creative Life Centre to teach parents/carers of children up to 4 years of age, how to best engage with their child by giving them tools and resources to establish the fundamental literacy readiness for their children.
