About this Event
This gathering is part of an ongoing parent circle
- a supportive, informal space to connect with other parents who get this stage, without judgment or fixing
Parenting teens and young adults with ADHD can feel lonely, especially as expectations rise and the old ways of supporting them no longer seem to work.
You may be watching your teen:
- Fall behind despite being bright, curious, and capable
- Miss details, deadlines, or assignments they genuinely meant to do
- Spend hours reorganizing their desk, gaming, or scrolling, but struggle to begin schoolwork
- Rely heavily on reminders, late nights, or last-minute stress to get anything done, often pulling all-nighters fueled by anxiety
- Struggle with planning, follow-through, or working independently
- Feel overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally dysregulated as pressure builds
- Push back, shut down, or have big emotional reactions when school comes up
And as a parent, it can start to feel like:
- “It feels like I have to manage their life for things to work.”
- “Why doesn’t this stick?”
- “I worry they’ll never become independent.”
- “Our relationship feels tense because everything feels like a fight.”
You may also find yourself comparing your family to others, questioning your parenting choices, and wondering whether you’re doing too much, or not enough, as school demands and societal expectations continue to grow.
What’s often underneath these struggles is not a lack of effort or care, but a growing gap between what students are expected to manage and the skills that are still developing in the ADHD brain.
If this resonates, this space is for you.
This is not a workshop or a lecture.
There’s no agenda and no pressure to share.
It’s a place to come as you are, to listen, connect, and feel less alone in this stage of parenting.
When you RSVP, you’re welcome to share questions or challenges you’d like me to keep in mind for this gathering. I’ll review what parents submit ahead of time so I can respond to common themes during our time together.
