Welcome to the Parent Carer Forum York Annual Conference 2025!

Join us on Wed, Feb 26, 2025 at Delta Hotels , Marriott, York for a day filled with insightful discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Our 2025 conference has a packed agenda on the themes of Preparation for Adulthood and Access to Health Services with updates and developments across services in York. Tickets are available for all York parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs, with or without a diagnosis.

This in-person event is the perfect opportunity for parents and carers to come together and share experiences. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with others who understand the challenges and joys of parenting a child with additional needs.

In the morning we will be joined by a host of professionals from education, health and social care who will update us on their work and on new developments in York for children and young people with additional needs.

After enjoying a complimentary buffet style lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to give their views and feedback to Maxine Squires (Assistant Director of Education, Skills and SEND, CYC), Lynne Johns (Head of Send, CYC) and Melanie Leighton (York SENDIASS).

Maxine and Lynne will be talking about the Universal Offer, SEND Hub, and support available for SEND families in York. Attendees will learn from Melanie about how best to manage meetings in school.

PCF York are happy to pay for parking spaces to facilitate wide attendance, but we would appreciate it if attendees could car share or use public transport if possible. Please remember to let us know if you would like a parking space reserving and paying for.

Lunch and refreshments are provided, free of charge. Please let us know in advance, at least two weeks prior to the event, if you have any dietary requirements. We can not guarantee that the venue will be able to accomodate for your for dietary requirements if you book tickets outside of this notice period.

We understand that families needs may change on a day to day basis, please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so that we can offer your tickets to someone else.
