Adult + Child workshop to benefit Generous Hands Inc. - Ticket includes child and adult seat to design two tote bags (one for mom/dad and one for child) as keepsake to make a memory. You’ll each receive a bag to decorate & refreshments. All supplies to create your personal customized design provided with guidance. We ask you to arrive with a shopping bag full of non perishable food for Generous Hands to add to power packs. These weekend power packs of food sustain nearly 400 children every weekend!
This is a GIVING & MAKING workshop to empower and teach your kids to give to others while making a memory.
You and your little one will leave with your custom bag to take to the Market or to keep filling to donate again in the future.
What inspired this workshop?
Sunset Lake Elementary 2nd graders collected 750 jars of peanut butter (a record!) to help neighbors in need and they’ve inspired us along with the weekly power packs Generous Hands INC. provides nearly 400 children in our community every weekend to get by. Some kids prepare these items on their own. We wanted to help and add food to their pantry for these weekend packs too! So we’ve partnered to host Parent & Child Build a Bag Workshop for Generous Hands Inc. in support of their efforts! Join us before Mother’s Day for this chance to GIVE & MAKE with your child while teaching them to care for others when you have enough to share! Details and link to sign up are in the event listing. Join us to feed the kids and bring your bag of groceries to donate. We want to fill their shelves for the Spring!
