You're invited to join me for a parawing enthusiasts meet-up and fun, challenging DW course this Sunday if the wild westerly conditions allow. The approximately 6km total course is epic for its cross-onshore start, a powered 1.5 klicks reach out to the Tindalls reef, where it becomes a fun, DW run in straight, bay run-style bumps, past Fishermans Cove and down to Army Bay.
The course favours natural (left foot forward riders) and tests multiple parawinging and downwind foiling skills. I've recorded a couple of runs on https://race.downwind.app/run/tindalls_army_bay
Riders not keen to commit to the DW section can parawing back and forth at Tindalls, often a reasonably user-friendly learning spot to hone skills.
We will have a briefing / catch up at midday and plan a run for about 1pm - second run possible. BBQ and drinks at Army Bay afterwards.
I've been waiting in vain for a SW or W wind to line up with a weekend for months now and keen to do this as a regular weekend event if others are keen to mix it up with other parawingers. The forecast is boisterous for Sunday, all riders are responsible for their own decisions and safety plans.
