Investigate the Haunted Stacks of a Historic Landmark…
Join the experienced investigators of Wyoming Valley Ghost Tours for a rare opportunity to explore one of the region’s most iconic and paranormally active locations—the Osterhout Free Library in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Featured on the hit TV series Ghost Hunters, this 125-year-old building is steeped in mystery, legend, and unexplained activity.
On Friday, Nov 7th 2025, at 7:30 PM, you’ll walk the very halls where countless eerie encounters have taken place. The evening begins with a historical presentation from an Osterhout librarian, who will share stories of the library’s past—and the strange occurrences that continue to unfold within its walls.
Then we go lights out.
Working in small teams, you’ll conduct a guided paranormal investigation using equipment provided by Wyoming Valley Ghost Tours. Together, you’ll explore the darkened stacks, shadowed corridors, and hidden rooms of this beloved historic site in search of signs from the beyond.
Tickets must be purchased in advance via the event page. No tickets will be sold at the door, and space is limited to ensure an intimate and immersive experience.
The minimum age for this event is 16 with a parent or legal guardian.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
This is an indoor walking event that requires the use of stairs. Appropriate footwear and clothing are necessary—do not wear sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, or high heels.
Anyone appearing intoxicated will be asked to leave.
