See East Harbour Regional Park from a new perspective. This guided day in the Parangarahu Lakes area of East Harbour Regional Park offers two walks to choose from.
1. A steeper walk to look inside the Pencarrow Lighthouse, guided by Heritage New Zealand.
2. A flatter lakeside stroll by Lake Kohangapiripiri, guided by Taranaki Whānui (mana whenua).
You’ll have the chance to learn why the area is significant to iwi, discover the unique history of Pencarrow Lighthouse, and find out about important conservation work in the area from Zealandia. The location offers stunning views of Te Whanganui a Tara/Wellington Harbour and Raukawa Moana/Cook Strait.
